Confused since the late 90’s in Pre-internet Lincoln NE, Kyle Ryan cut their teeth playing NOFX in middle school basements and Real-Book Ellington for country club cocktail parties. He moved to Nashville in 2006 as half of a duo with writing partner Madi Diaz. Since he’s been blurring genres and hiding in the cracks of Nashville’s Indie pop scene writing with and producing with artists such as Madi Diaz, Kacey Musgraves, Natalie Prass, Liza Anne, Dr Dog, Molly Tuttle, Josh Gilligan, Eric Slick, Mikky Ekko, Nikki Lane, and MorgXn. He toured with Kacey for 10 years as Musical Director and producing her “A Very Kacey Christmas” Record and the A Very Kacey Xmas TV special.
Now 1 global Pandemic, and 1 Baby girl later Kyle anchored themselves back in the studio donning the persona, Junior Pro, to explore what happens to a musical chameleon when they turn the lens on their own maximalist pop-in-a-blender fever dream. An Exploration of late blooming, unreliable self-analysis, latent sexual confusion, and sports, “Cool” is the 10th rewrite of a hypothetical first draft.
